Terms and Conditions
Who you are dealing with
These terms are between you and Orgesa Meli, trading as Configur Academy, of Patch, 42 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3LJ, contactable at configuracademy@gmail.com or 07414 962803. By setting up a membership or booking a market stall you agree to these terms. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights.
Membership
Membership is set up by an adult with parental responsibility for the child, and each child needs their own membership. Clubs are for the age ranges shown on each club page. Membership is monthly and rolling, priced by the number of clubs your child attends, at the rates shown on the join page. It includes the weekly sessions for the chosen clubs in term time, all materials, the end of term showcase, and a free stall at each Young Founders Market. Club dates for the year are published on the club dates page, and sessions do not run in half terms, school holidays or on bank holidays.
Payment
You pay by Direct Debit through GoCardless. Your first payment is collected when you join, and payments then continue monthly. If a payment fails we will let you know and try again; if it cannot be collected after we have contacted you, we may pause your child's place until it is resolved. If we change our prices we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and you can cancel before the change takes effect.
Your right to cancel when you join
You have 14 days from setting up your membership to cancel for any reason, by emailing us. By joining, you ask us to start providing sessions within that period, so if your child has attended sessions before you cancel, we will refund your payment less a fair amount for the sessions provided, within 14 days.
Cancelling your membership
You can cancel at any time by emailing configuracademy@gmail.com. We ask for 1 calendar month's notice: your membership and payments end at the end of the notice period, and we will confirm your cancellation in writing. There is no other step, no phone call required, and no charge for leaving.
Changing clubs
You can swap one club for another at the same price, or change the number of clubs, by emailing us, and the change takes effect from the start of the next month. A change in the number of clubs changes the monthly amount to the matching rate on the join page.
Pausing over the summer
If your family is away for the summer break, you can pause your membership for the holiday period by emailing us before the first payment you would like paused, and your child's place is held for September. The summer programme and markets remain included for memberships that stay active.
Missed sessions and cancelled sessions
Each session stands alone, so a missed week is simply picked up the following week, and we do not offer refunds or credits for absence. If we ever have to cancel a session, for example through coach illness, we will offer a replacement session or credit the value against your next payment.
At sessions
Please complete the consent form before your child's first session, as we cannot admit a child without it. Your child is in our care from sign-in until they are collected: children are signed in at the start and released only to the adults you have named, so please tell us if collection arrangements change. We ask that children are collected promptly at the end of sessions. We are proud of the warm, kind atmosphere of the clubs; in the rare event that a child's behaviour repeatedly disrupts sessions for others, we will always talk with you first, and if we ultimately have to end a membership we will refund any unused period in full.
The Young Founders Market
Stalls for non-members cost £25, booked through the market page. A parent or carer must stay with their child throughout the market; this is a firm rule with no exceptions, and a child without a supervising adult cannot trade. If you can no longer attend, a stall fee is refundable up to 7 days before the market, and after that it can be transferred to the next market instead.
Photographs
Photographs are only taken and used according to the choices on your consent form, children are never named publicly, and you can change your choices at any time.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. We are not responsible for events genuinely outside our reasonable control, or for loss or damage to belongings brought to sessions or markets, though we will always take reasonable care.
Changes, complaints and the small print
If we make a material change to these terms we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email. If anything goes wrong, tell us at configuracademy@gmail.com and we will do our best to put it right quickly. If any part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest still applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
